This internship will offer full time hours. Pay is dependent on experience/education. Summary of the Position: The Information Technology Intern is responsible for working within the desktop support IT infrastructure team assisting with level 1 problem resolution and providing desktop support. This position is a critical part of the end user experience. The IT Intern will work directly with members of both Corporate Helpdesk and IT Infrastructure team. This opportunity will allow one to learn and hone skills across a wide spectrum of IT services and technologies. The IT Intern must be a team player who is motivated, organized, and demonstrates a professional attitude. Roles and Responsibilities: Assist staff with troubleshooting issues and provide technical support to end users via phone, walkups, and email communications Organize and maintain IT resources Manage and maintain printers and printer supplies Assist with network closet cable management Assist in development of IT Knowledgebase New hire computer builds and deployment Support in the update and refresh of old hardware Assist with conference room setup and support Assist with level 1 technical tickets. Computers - Minor troubleshooting Monitor the Helpdesk, ensuring consistency among support calls Potentially shadow advanced technicians while troubleshooting more complex issues. Work on project related tasks as assigned Suggest improvements in any of the above, or new functionality Order computer supplies Other activities as assigned by the Manager Minimum Requirements: 0 -2 years' experience supporting Windows 2000, XP, and 10 desktop/laptop PCs Experience troubleshooting hardware issues and replacing hardware on both desktop and laptop PCs Experience installing software, patches, updates on Desktops, Laptops, Servers Excellent written and oral communication skills Communicate effectively with other departments within the organization and function within a team environment. Regular attendance is required Perform other duties assigned as may be required in meeting company objectives Fearless attitude towards technology and a willingness to learn Education and Experience: H.S. diploma required.
