The Infection Control Support Associate (ICSA) supports the development and implementation of initiatives to prevent the spread of infections for all residents and staff members. The incumbent provides services to all Actionmarguerite sites and applicable service contracts. Performs all duties in accordance with established health and safety regulations/guidelines, policies and procedures (i. e. utilizing personal, protective equipment as per safe work procedures). Notifies management or supervisor of all occurrences, injuries, illnesses or safety and health concerns which are likely to harm themselves, their co-workers, or any other who enter the premises. Service and Assignment: Care and Services Starting Date: January 28, 2024 Shift and Hours of Work: 1.0 FTE - full-time - days, currently 09:00 - 17:15. Pay Scale: As per MAHCP Collective Agreement Specifications: This position provides services to our multiple sites, 185 rue Despins, 450 River Road, 1149 Leila Ave. Travel between sites will be required. Assignment and hours of work are subject to change at any time as per operational requirements. Closing Date: December 5, 2023 QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Baccalaureate degree in a health-related field with focus in direct clinical care, microbiology, epidemiology or public Completion of an IPAC Canada endorsed Infection Prevention and Control Course. Successful candidate will be expected to complete course within 1 year of hire if not already completed. Certification in Infection Control from Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Incorporated an asset. Ability to communicate, verbal and written, in both official languages (French & English) is required. Minimum 2 years in a clinical health care setting, OR experience and training in microbiology and infectious diseases, epidemiology, or diagnostics.
