About us: Sunshine Starts is a premier day care located in the heart of Yorktown Heights- right in the Triangle Shopping Center. We are a NYS licensed day care that provides care for children ages 8 weeks to 5 years old. We also provide before and after school care for our community. What are we looking for? We're looking for people who are passionate about our mission and teaching philosophy. If you're friendly, nurturing, engaging and professional demeanor and have a strong work ethic- then we're looking for you! As a Infant/Pretoddler Teacher you will: Plan meaningful play and art experiences for children Engage children in activities and play that stimulates their development Provide responsive caregiving for children Supervise children while keeping them safe at all times Engage with parents to discuss their child(ren) Help to effectively manage the classroom Record each child's daily activities Create and maintaining an environment that is clean, organized, and safe for all children Required Qualifications/Criteria Minimum of one year of experience as an infant or toddler teacher CDA in Infant/Toddler, Bachelors or plan of study Friendly, nurturing, engaging and professional demeanor Strong work ethic Be punctual Be mentally and physically capable of caring for a large group of children Be able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children as required Must be fully vaccinated or will be within 2 weeks of hire Must be available to work until 6:30 PM Job Posted by ApplicantPro
