Job Description The Estimator is responsible for preparing cost estimates for product manufacturing to aid inside sales in biddingon or determining price of product or service. Essential Job Functions Leads or assists in the preparation of accurate and timely bids and estimates. Provides estimates for assigned projects. Completes accurate and timely estimates. Coordinate with purchasing for subcontractors included in estimates. Performs detailed drawing and specifications review, detailed quantity takeoff and unit price estimating. Lead new work procurement by producing and participating in estimates. Work with manufacturing personnel to develop accurate forging and machining times and steps. Work with operations staff during design development for estimating. Use historical data to create accurate estimates. Performs initial estimate of direct pricing items Meet established deadlines for work. Initiates and maintains positive working relationships. Education/Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; bachelor's degree preferred Minimum 5 years of related experience and/or training
