As individuals we are great, and together we are even better so come help us make a difference as we are currently seeking a full-time Industrial Hygiene Technician/Staff Industrial Hygienist to join our Environmental team in Knoxville, Tennessee. Learn more about us in this video: https://bit.ly/3Jp3Dez and visit our website: https://www.smeinc.com/ Job Snapshot: Perform predominantly field and limited office work associated with industrial hygiene and traditional environmental assessment Work under the supervision of other experienced EHS professionals Perform field aspects of industrial hygiene projects including asbestos assessments and abatement monitoring, hazardous materials assessments (asbestos, lead, radon, PCBs, universal wastes, etc.), personnel exposure monitoring including chemical and noise assessments Perform office tasks including preparation of data tables; preparation of letter reports to present data; and maintenance of equipment Required Qualifications: High school Diploma/GED Knowledge or experience with industrial hygiene, safety or environmental field testing Basic mathematics and computer skills Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability and willingness to accommodate periodic travel with overnight assignments Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment committed to deadlines Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and integrity Preferred Qualifications: Asbestos Air Monitoring License Asbestos Inspector License Lead-based Paint experience or accreditations Mold and IAQ sampling experience Experience with Industrial Hygiene personnel monitoring Associates or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, safety, engineering, or related sciences Why work at S&ME?
