Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hydrovac Operator to join our team. The Hydrovac Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining a hydrovac truck to safely excavate and clean up dirt, debris, and other materials from excavation sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be safety-conscious, and have experience working in the construction or utility industries. This is a Union position. Key Responsibilities: Operate and maintain a hydrovac truck to safely excavate and clean up dirt, debris, and other materials from excavation sites Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure safe and efficient operation of the hydrovac truck Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the hydrovac truck to ensure it is in good working order Set up and break down work sites, including the placement and removal of safety cones and barriers Communicate effectively with team members and site supervisors to ensure all work is performed efficiently and safely Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs and other required documentation Perform other duties as assigned Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Valid Class A or B commercial driver's license with tanker endorsement Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a hydrovac truck in a construction or utility setting Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to hydrovac operations Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Strong work ethic and attention to detail Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Excellent communication skills Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit and operate the hydrovac truck for extended periods of time Must be able to climb in and out of the hydrovac truck and work in tight spaces Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions Working Conditions: The Hydrovac Operator will primarily work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The Hydrovac Operator may be required to work in tight spaces, climb ladders, and work at heights. The Hydrovac Operator may be required to work long hours, including nights and weekends. Working Hours: Variable hours averaging 30 - 65 hours a week depending on the season. Weekend and extended hours as needed.
