Hunton Services is seeking to hire a detail-oriented and reliable Estimator to join our Service Operations team. Selected candidate will provide turnkey estimates for HVAC Mechanical service projects in the institutional, education and commercial fields. Responsibilities: Review and discuss scope & specifications with service technicians, sales, and management. Review and understand service-related documents. Review documents and identify scope of work, critical schedule and sequences, non-standard work conditions, cost impacts, material and equipment data, safety and compliance requirements, risk management and special requirements. Prepare proposal letters, cost breakdowns, etc. Create a detailed estimate with appropriate material, labor, and sub-breakdowns. Manage quote process from initial documentation through job set up. Able to establish and manage healthy customer relationships; have professional and effective communications skills; proactive in conflict resolution. Adequately represent Hunton Services in customer meetings. Effectively communicate with subcontractors and suppliers. Identify customer needs and develop effective solutions. Use of modern technology, websites and apps to source parts price and availability to best suit the needs of Hunton Service technicians and customers is required. This allows for timely parts pricing and availability. Use cost effective ways to get parts in technicians hands. Identify project and schedule issues. Visit job sites as necessary to produce accurate estimates. Coordinate and respond to requests for changes from original specifications. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; review technical publications. Qualifications: Five years of prior experience in HVAC or a related contracting field. Prefer HVAC estimating experience with a strong background in service related work. Must be adept in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook. Ability to thrive under time pressure.
