Position Title: HVAC Duct Mechanic Position Location: US Caribbean Industry Type: Commercial Construction Employment Type: Full-Time A mechanical contract with over 50 years of industry experience has positions available in the Caribbean. These are full-time positions that include Housing (Apartment or Condominium), Airfare, Employee Transportation, and More. JOB DESCRIPTION: The ideal candidate for this position must have a minimum of 5 years of recent experience with installing commercial heating and air conditioning ducts and systems according to local and state codes. COMPANY BENEFITS: Employee Ownership Program Paid Vacation And Holidays Health, Dental, And Life Insurance 401k Plan Project Management Training Programs Available Educational Reimbursement Available Opportunities For Advancement Employee Bonuses JOB DESCRIPTION: Install HVAC ductwork for new construction/remodel/renovation projects and repair existing systems and equipment utilizing hand and power tools. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Install fire dampers, smoke dampers, and fire/ smoke dampers per code and manufacturer installation guidelines. To adjust to field conditions when required, you must be able to make field alterations to ductwork, such as 3-piece offsets, 1-piece offsets, 90-degree, 45-degree elbows, and transitions. Layout and install mechanical equipment to include, but not limited to, terminal unit boxes, fan coil units, exhaust fans (utility vent sets, sidewall, in-line, ceiling, centrifugal up-blast, and downflow), split system A/C units, AHU and RTU's. Layout and install ductwork and equipment hangers using duct straps, threaded rods, hanging wire, Unistrut, and angle using tools such as lasers, saws, hammer drills, and powder-actuated guns, when allowed and with certification. Install grilles, registers, and diffusers to include, but are not limited to, lay-in grilles, surface mount grilles, linear diffusers, and laminar flow diffusers. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to live and work in the Caribbean. Must be a team player and take pride in all work. Must have all hand tools required for HVAC Duct new construction and remodel.
