HVAC CAD Operator Job Summary: --Our client is seeking a CAD Operator for their CT office. The primary responsibility of this position is to for the coordination and layout of HVAC systems including duct work and piping for our commercial and industrial clients. Prior CAD and Estimating experience in commercial mechanical construction including HVAC, Sheet Metal, Piping and Plumbing disciplines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :Produce 2D and 3D Mechanical drawings for field installation and coordination with other sub-contractor trades.Participates in coordination meetings to resolve clashes while maintaining budget and constructability requirementsConfers with project management staff to resolve issues; reviews drawings with the production and field teams and adjusts as necessary.Travel to various project sites as required.Perform other duties as required. Qualifications: The following are required, unless otherwise noted as preferred:Minimum of High School diploma or equivalentMinimum of one year drafting experienceMinimum of 3 years in the HVAC industry is preferredUnderstanding of related trades for coordination purposesStrong oral and written communication skillsExperience with AutoCAD is required.Experience with Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, BIM Collaborate, or other model viewing/collaboration software is preferredExperience with HVAC, piping and duct drawingsKnowledgeable in 3D coordination with other tradesIs able to read architectural, structural, and mechanical plans sections, and elevations.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products About us: BestLogic Staffing is a Top Staffing Firm thats partnered with some of the largest names in various industries.
