In 1949, a small building was dedicated as the Austin Cerebral Palsy Center serving a small population of Central Texas residents. This is why we provide competitive compensation, great benefits, and plenty of opportunities for personal and professional growth . nn A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HUMAN SERVICES COORDINATOR n As a Human Services Coordinator in human services, you play an essential role in using a family-centered model to help children achieve their goals. You develop and deliver a comprehensive routine-based service plan that assists families with identifying their routines, concerns, priorities, and needed resources. Using developmental assessments, you help families achieve their goals and continuously re-evaluate potential strategies and outcomes based on their needs. You also initiate and maintain contact with the child's physician to obtain necessary medical information. n In addition, you update HR on all needed documentation on a regular basis. You complete the necessary continuing education to maintain proper certifications and licensures. Throughout working hours, you consistently communicate with our main office as well as assist other departments, team members, and agency managers with obtaining the goals and objectives of our nonprofit. You also help out with the hands-on training of skills, billing, and other competencies. As needed, you attend staff meetings and remain available for questions from other colleagues. Having a job that directly uses your skills in psychology and child development brings you great fulfillment, which is why you love your case management job with our human services nonprofit! nn QUALIFICATIONS FOR A HUMAN SERVICES COORDINATOR n n Bachelor's degree in child development, psychology, or a related human services field n Certified by the Early Childhood Intervention state agency n 2+ years of experience working with children, preferably children with special needs n Reliable transportation with current auto insurance n Covid-19 vaccination n n Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. Do you have excellent verbal and written communication skills? Are you highly organized and attentive to detail? Can you effectively prioritize tasks while demonstrating good time management? Do you work well both independently and as part of a team? Can you handle confidential information with discretion?
