Candidates must have strong organizational skills, be adaptable, detailed-oriented, and must be able to work with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. Three+ (3) years of experience in an HR support role is required. Payroll experience is a plus. Bilingual is strongly preferred. This position is based in Deming, New Mexico.Lescombes Family Vineyards benefits include: Medical, dental, and vision insurance (partially paid by employee) Paid time off Sick Pay Opportunity to participate in a 401k plan Generous employee discount Fitness Reimbursement Essential Duties and Responsibilities:● Responsible for working with all departments and locations (including our restaurant locations) within the Company on HR and payroll-related inquiries.● Exercise understanding of employment laws and regulations, review processes in the area(s) of assignment(s) to identifyissues and recommend solutions.● Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups and consultation with management.● Assist in research, design, planning, coordination, and implementation of orientation and training programs for employee'sand management.● Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of employee performance programs.● Monitor and evaluate training activities and materials.● Advise management on effectiveness or recruiting, training, and retention programs.● Analyze, develop, and implement succession planning process throughout the company.● Develop or implement recruiting strategies to meet current or anticipated staffing needs.● Compose company-wide communications, such as, memos, emails, etc.● Partner with state-funded programs relating to employment.● Responsible for bi-weekly payroll preparation and execution for the New Mexico Wineries location only.● Reconcile monthly benefits invoices to ensure correctness and send rebill information to Accounting department.● Post open positions in the online recruiting program.● Schedule and interview job applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, or job skills.● Conduct reference or background checks on job applicants.● Complete the process of electronic onboarding with new team members.● Make accurate and timely 401k contributions to the provider (bi-weekly).● Compile payroll data such as garnishments, personal time, insurance, and 401(k) deductions.● Analyze employment-related data and prepare required reports.● Conduct exit interviews and ensure that necessary employment termination paperwork is completed.● Set up employee deductions in payroll system (garnishments, 401k, benefits, etc.)● Complete process of electronic onboarding with new employee's.● Record employee information, such as transfers and resignations, to maintain and update hr/payroll records.● Ensures eligible associates enroll in benefit plans and communicates changes in plans; coordinates annual enrollmentprocess. Manages associate benefit eligibility review process.● Assist in the 401(k) annual financial and actuarial information reporting and compilation of data specs for testing.● Unemployment claims administration, responding to claims filed, employment development department court appearance(s)in response to contest claims.● Assist with Worker's Compensation claims to ensure paperwork is completed timely and accurately and processed withinsurance company.● Maintain Unclaimed Wages account for all locations and file the report with the State of NM annually.● Answers inquiries regarding employment verifications.● Assist Human Resources Administrator in the planning, implementing and coordinating of employee relation activities,including annual Harvest Party and Holiday Party.● Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personalnetworks; participating in professional organizations● Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.● Comply with all ASI and OSHA guidelines and feel comfortable ensuring other employees are following.● Participate in special projects per Human Resources Administrator.● Perform other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Administrator.Education and/or Work Experience and Skills Requirements:● Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribedroutines, and standard accepted practices● Associate's degree in business or human resources discipline preferred● Minimum of 3 years Human Resources experience required● Minimum of 2 years Payroll experience preferred● SHRM-CP or PHR Certification preferred● Bilingual strongly preferred● Experience in creating training programs● Ability to effectively present information to individuals and groups● Advanced computer skills; proficient in Google Docs and Sheets or Excel and Word● Excellent time management and organizational skills● Effective and positive verbal and interactive communication skills● Ability to listen and communicate (written and verbal), excellent grammar, spelling and proofreading skills and follow-upeffectively with all staffing levels● Lescombes Family Vineyards is an equal-opportunity employer.
