The Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana (RHI) provides quality rehabilitation services to those facing life-changing injuries or illnesses. We specialize in the areas of brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, and complex medical conditions. RHI is the only Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Model System in the state of Indiana and one of only 16 in the U.S. RHI has two locations. Our facility on the northwest side of Indianapolis provides inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services to patients 15 years of age and older. Our facility on the north side of Indianapolis specializes in outpatient, interdisciplinary brain injury services for ages 15 and older as well as serve clientele with neuro and ortho-physical therapy needs and pediatric vision needs. JOB SUMMARY The Rehabilitation Hospital of Indianapolis is seeking a Full-Time Human Resources Benefits Manager in Indianapolis, IN. The Human Resources Benefits Manager administrates and ensures benefit compliance utilizing the HRIS, payroll system, and benefits portals to provide benefits analysis and reconciliations for the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana. This position administrates employee leaves, aligning leaves with FMLA, policy and manages the leadership of the Human Resources team. In addition, this prospective employee works closely with the Hospital and Executive leadership team to coordinate activities related to the Hospitals personnel. The HR Benefits Manager provides oversight and consultation for one or multiple hospital facilities within in a market including, employee relations, policies and procedures, employment law, retention, compensation, HRIS/management reporting, new hire procedures, along with benefits. Consults with and updates Director of Human Resources regarding all Human Resources functions and activities. In collaboration with management and under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, communicates, facilitates/coordinates implementation and monitors new and/or enhanced HR programs, policies and procedures. Promotes proactive, positive employee relations practices and environments in all areas and understands and appropriately balances the roles of both employee and company advocate. Serves as key member of Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana Resources team, providing valuable input and feedback and assuring implementation and maintenance of hospital and corporate HR initiatives. Ensures compliance with federal, state and local employment laws, as well as applicable regulations and standards. ESSENTAIL FUNCTIONS Manage all health benefits, serving as the main point of contact for employees. Manage benefit related data via benefit portals, Excel, and analysis to assess for alignment, compliance and accuracy. Manage employee leaves and ADAA compliance, monitoring for organizational alignment with applicable laws and policy. Monitor for ACA compliance and benefit eligibility, ensuring alignment of benefit structure with organizational and legal expectations. Manages HRIS system and carrier files, reflecting benefit enrollments & changes are integrated within HRIS system and portals. Assists with preparation and submission of all required filings. Ensure new hires receive and understand employee benefits timelines, open enrollment processes HR Policies, and internal procedures and regulations. Working closely with Corporate Benefits department on issues and problems when they arise. Partners with the HR Payroll Admin, Benefits, Compensation to research and resolve employee concerns such as pay and compensation issues. Monitors, implements and ensures compliance with new programs, policies or procedures based on State, Federal or local laws and/or regulations. QUALIFICATIONS Systemic, process-oriented thinker with a high attention to detail and organization. Proficiency with Excel. Proficiency with HR related technology: payroll systems, HMIS, benefits portals. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Ability to work well independently and with others, team player. EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE Prior experience in benefits, payroll or human resources administration. A bachelor's degree in human resources preferred. SHRM-CP, PHR preferred.
