Alternatives Federal Credit Union is seeking a Human Resources Assistant. Alternatives is a Community Development Financial Institute (CDFI) credit union serving Tompkins and surrounding counties, and are proud to find solutions for those left behind by the mainstream financial institutions. CDFIs share a common goal of expanding economic opportunity in low-income communities by providing access to fair financial products and services for local residents and businesses. The HR Assistant is responsible for providing excellent customer service to employees and applicants as well as managing data related to payroll, benefits and training. Main responsibilities include supporting the HR and Training functions by processing payroll, maintaining files and coordinating the onboarding and hiring processes. This position requires some flexibility to attend events outside of normal business hours. A HS Diploma is required, along with commitment to our mission. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and organized, with a commitment to confidentiality and ability to multi-task.
