Contract is expected to be awarded June 2024We are looking for a results-driven Human Geographer to perform human geography production in Springfield, VAYou will use your demonstrated ability to operate in a high-temp environment and deliver timely and accurate GEOINTResponsibilities:--- Provide a broad array of Human Geography products to customers throughout NGA, IC, NSG, and ASGThese customers rely on the accurate and timely delivery of these products to support policy decisions and mission planning and execution.--- Use an understanding of geography, research, GIS, and data conflation and management skills to produce the broad array of human geography products including attributed data, maps, including written reportsProduction phases for HG projects and products may include research, discovery, evaluation, extraction, creation, geo-enabling, quality control/review, metadata attribution, source citation, service enabling and disseminationThe Contractor shall participate in technical exchanges with Government, partners, and contract personnel located at their site and virtually around the globeThe technical exchanges will focus on Human Geography production to NGA standards and feature extraction/attribution issues related to Human Geography productionMaintain staff to support the creation and development of Human Geography productsEnabling activities in support of Human Geography production (i.ewriting SOPs and how to guides, training coworkers, etc.) * Ensure a current and accurate International Trade in Arms Regulations (ITAR) exemption is in effect for all requested support involving partner interactionRequired Qualifications:--- 1-3 years demonstrated experience supporting DoD or the IC's GEOINT Mission. * Knowledge of Human Geography concepts * Experience in the research, discovering and extraction of geospatial and non-geospatial information.--- Experience in imagery research, extraction and attribution. * Proficiency in use of fundamental ArcGIS Pro software tools in the creation, attribution, schema development and utilization, management, and geo-referencing of data. * Experience in geo-enabling non-spatial data. * Demonstrated experience to communicate GEOINT products, data, and services to peers and leadership. * TS/SCI Clearance Desired Qualifications:--- Knowledge of the regional, cultural and political geography of the region assigned. * Experience in using established cartographic principles, geo-referencing, and naming conventions/Romanization in the creation of geo-spatial products.--- Experience in creating and publishing GEOINT products.--- Working knowledge of at least one of the foreign languages of the assigned region. * Experience producing data and products to NGA standards.--- Experience with open source data harvest, process automation and scripting. * Experience with data management, schema development, and data conflation.--- Experience with Google Earth Engine (GEE). * Proficiency in Basic Python ScriptingEEO Statement Royce Geois an Equal Opportunity EmployerAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disabilityAnyone requiring reasonable accommodations should email or call 703-544-XXXX with requested detailsA member of the HR team will respond to your request within 2 business daysKnow Your Rights: Workplace Discrimination is Illegal (eeoc.gov) Please review our current job openings and apply for the positions you believe may be a fitIf you are not an immediate fit, we will also keep your resume in our database for future opportunitiesAbout Royce Geo Established in 2015, Royce Geo has quickly evolved into a well-rounded, diverse, small business tackling some of the most complex issues for our Defense and Intelligence Community clientsWe are an award-winning small business firm, providing vital support to our mission partners across four core areas: Geospatial Information Technology, Data Analytics, Intelligence, and TrainingOur team members are highly skilled subject matter experts, who listen and partner with our clients to accomplish the missionWe own the problem and find the solution while upholding the highest standards-to exceed expectationsWe take risks and challenge the status quo to deliver innovative and cutting-edge solutionsOur employee-centric company culture is everythingEven while we grow, our small company mentality continues to existWe demand inspiration from our leadership, and accountability from all so that we can influence others through our actionsThis is Royce Geo.
