Summary: The HR Intern will support the Human Resources department by developing and implementing various value-added projects that will mutually benefit the professional development of the intern and the Company. The HR Intern will learn the practical application of various HR functions including but not limited to recruitment/hiring/onboarding, benefits, training, and compliance. Primary Projects/Objectives: Assist with the recruitment and selection process by reviewing and posting jobs, updating, and monitoring the applicant tracking system, scheduling and/or conducting phone screens, and scheduling interviews with applicants. Assist with onboarding tasks, including but not limited to scheduling pre-employment screenings, background checks, and new hire paperwork. Attend and perform new hire orientations for all new hires. Liaison with Temp Agencies; communicating needs, openings, and ended assignments. Assist with the completion of Temp payroll each week, reviewing and approving timecards. Standardize, edit, and develop job descriptions. Provide administrative support to the HR department. Help with ad hoc projects as needed. Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of all HR information. Requirements: Current or recent enrollment in a graduate or undergraduate degree program with an interest and aptitude to work in Human Resources Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written High level of integrity and trustworthiness, with the ability to maintain confidentiality Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Keeps commitments.
