Hr Generalist/Payroll Administrator

About the Position:We are a rapidly expanding organization in need of an HRGeneralist/Payroll Administrator. The HR Generalist/Payroll Administrator is responsible for running the daily functions of the Human Resources department and weekly payroll. The Human Resources Generalist/Payroll Administrator will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities and will help with important functions such as administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. Base pay is $20-$24 an hour based on experience.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:• Responsible for data entry, filing, scanning, and uploading into HRIS system.• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulation and employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintains compliance (including ensuring compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification).• Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development..• Executes and assists in the processing of regular payrolls.• Schedules pre-employment drug and background screenings. • Serves as 1st point of contact, and handles employment related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.• Monitors employee significant dates to administer next steps, including benefit enrollment, training programs, bonuses, and other trackable events. • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.• Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.• Collaborates with outside vendors, upper management, and employees. • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.• Performs other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.• Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.• Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.Education &Experience:• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred.• At least three years of human resource management experience preferred.• At least one year of payroll administration experience preferred.• SHRM-CP a plus
