The Job: The HR Compensation and Analytics Lead is responsible for managing the compensation function for the Museum as well as analyzing and reporting on HR metrics and data. This role plans, develops, and implements new and revised compensation programs, policies and procedures to align with the company's goals and competitive practices. This position is also responsible for ensuring that company compensation programs are consistently administered in compliance with internal policies and government regulations. Responsibilities Manage the development, implementation and administration of compensation program. Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommends changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and Museum's Compensation Philosophy. Provide advice to corporate staff on pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations. Oversee the implementation and execution of the annual merit process. Participate in salary surveys and monitor salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved . Ensure all roles within MSI have current job descriptions and ensure descriptions accurately reflect the need of the department. Run compensation analysis for all roles to ensure market pricing is current and accurate for all roles. Conduct data and cost analyses to be used in employee negotiations and collective bargaining agreements. Administer short and long-term incentive programs. Analyze data and statistics to compile HR metrics and data from a variety of sources (i.e. HRIS, government labor statistics, competitors' practices, etc.). Prepare reports of data analysis, present and explain findings to senior leadership. Identify and recommend short and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations and advice management on applicable regulations. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred. Four (4) to six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in employee compensation. Expert knowledge of Federal, State, and local employment laws and regulations as they apply to compensation practices. Must be a team player and able to work across multiple functions and disciplines and possess strong collaboration skills. Problem-solving mindset. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data. Demonstrated ability to achieve results through influence and collaboration. Ability to handle highly confidential information. Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft Office products including Excel. Strong leadership, team management, and strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods. Excellent organizational, time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Certified Compensation Professional credentials preferred. Language : Ability to read and interpret documents such as company policies, plan documents, procedure manuals, etc. Ability to write policies, procedures, reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organization. Mathematical : Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, impact analysis, etc. Reasoning : Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, etc. Physical : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Work Environment : The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
