Job Description Fabrication Shop Helper FLSA: Hourly/Non - ExemptRevision Date: 3/5/2021 Purpose of position: Under general supervision, check, store and organize materials from the warehouse. This job opportunity requires the flexibility to perform duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager in various areas of the production operation. Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however, employees may perform other related duties, and not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each employee in the job title: Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, or product code Restock material in assigned bin location; or fill requisitions for materials and distribute items to designated delivery trucks Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band bundles together; package orders for shipping, pick up or truck delivery Measure, cut and package material Complete Material Movement paperwork Open boxes, crates, and other containers Examine stock for deterioration and defects, and reports findings Assist in counting of physical inventory Inspect Raymond truck daily for damages and report findings Keep warehouse and work area organized at all times Comply with Company and OSHA policies; participate in safety and accident preventative meetings Wear safety equipment at all times Perform facilities maintenance duties as needed Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs Qualifications: Be familiar with power tools & able to operate safely. Be able to work well with others. Be able to read a tape measure. Be able to work efficiently under tight deadlines. Be able to bend over, reach upwards or outwards, twist, turn around and climb up. Be able to lift heavy objects, up to 50lbs. with and without assistance. Required to stand, and/or walk for long periods of time. Perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Be able to work Monday thru Friday 6am to 3pm.
