Daybreak, an emergency shelter for runaway and homeless youth is looking for a Housing Supervisor. The Housing Supervisor, in coordination with the Housing Manager, provides supervision of the Residential Specialist staff to ensure effective dissemination of information and consistent application of policies and procedures.Collaborates with the Housing Manager of the hiring and training of new Residential Staff.Responsible for maintaining 2nd floor schedule and 24-hours shifts coverage, including on-call rotation. Acts as on-call for coverage staff as needed.Assist Housing Manager in the development and coordination of individual/group schedules and activities for clients to support program and service delivery.Collaborates with Residential specialist staff in the provision and documentation of daily face-to-face, individual or group CPST, TBS or PSR services, assisting clients with problem resolution to advance client's progress toward treatment goals.Provide timely documentation of all paperwork for the client's record per CARF and ODMHAS standards, according to agency protocols, standards and expectations and ensure that the Residential Specialist staff meet the same deadlines. Ensures residential staff are trained and well-informed regarding safety protocols, building rules and program guidelines to provide youth orientation and maintain safe, secure and sanitary conditions in the youth apartments and communal areas. Ensures residential staff, promotes and engages youth in a strength base and trauma inform care approach to foster positive behaviors and provides natural and logical consequences when necessary. Utilizes the therapeutic milieu model to assist in managing the behaviors of self and youth to deescalate any conflict situations. Collaborates with the Housing Manager in client's moving process, ensuring unit is move-in ready to include bedbug treatment, apartment and carpet clean, walls painted, furnished, and furniture is ordered and delivered. Including all related paperwork completed with, Tax Credit, Front Door Assessments, HUD Housing Inspections, Environmental Inspections, move-in/move-out checklists.Assists the Housing Manager with the day-to-day operations of maintaining all Housing Programs, including but not limited to; Apartment inspections, communication with the landlords, maintenance requests, and client rent payments.
