The Holiday Inn Downtown Capitol Square is currently seeking a Housekeeping Operations Manager to join our team. The Housekeeping Operations Manager will assist in managing the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Team.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Directly supervise and develop all members of the housekeeping team. Assign work, monitor activities and track performance. Conduct appropriate coaching and schedule additional training if quality of work is not compliant with IHG brand standards. Establish and enforce high expectations for cleanliness and ensure all job assignments are completed conforming to IHG brand standards on a daily basis. Ensure staff compliance with all applicable company policies and procedures and recommend disciplinary action in accordance with company rules and policies. Develop your team, review employee behavior, appearance and performance providing constructive feedback and action plans. Ensure team is adequately trained and has the tools and equipment to carry out their duties. Assist with deep cleaning projects. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with your team and other departments. Inspect storage rooms and room attendant carts for neatness, cleanliness, adequate supplies and good repair. Inspect all assigned areas to ensure furnishings, guest room/suites, equipment, linens and public areas are clean and in good repair to exceed guest satisfaction. Advise employees of deficiencies and instruct on corrective action. Provide retraining as necessary. Respond to guest complaints, special requests and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction. Inspect rooms to ensure the newly adapted IHG Clean Promise is being upheld. May assist with other duties as assigned. What we need from you: High School Diploma or equivalent PLUS 2 years housekeeping experience in a supervisory position. Strong leadership skills High level of responsibility and accountability Extremely dependable Strong communication and organizational skills Fluent in the English language The ability and flexibility to work weekends. Weekends will be MANDATORY for this position. The hotel offers vacation pay, personal time off, paid holidays, free on-site parking, health insurance as well as other company benefits.
