Job Summary Responsible for the cleanliness and the appearance of guest accommodations and public space and see that all personnel performing housekeeping operations carry out their assignments in accordance with Hampton Inn and Suites standards. Responsible for all housekeeping, supplies, linen, equipment, work orders to Maintenance Staff and any other duties as assigned or required. Assist with efficiently managing the laundry operation. Duties and Responsibilities Makes up morning work assignments to ensure all areas of building are properly maintained in accordance with cleanliness standards. Manage the day-to-day activities of the housekeeping and laundry departments in furnishing daily service to guest rooms and public areas Plan, schedule, and organize work to ensure proper coverage while communicating and forcing policies and procedures. Assists General Manager and Human Resources in the selection of housekeeping personnel. Assists management staff in assuring housekeeping staff is practicing efficient and effective procedures. Ensure all staff is properly trained and has the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their respective job duties Develop work schedules for staff based on expected occupancy Distributes keys and work assignments to staff Provides limited supervision to housekeeping staff and mentorship to the Housekeeping Supervisor and Room Inspector Provides training including safety and standard operating procedures to all housekeeping personnel as directed by management Ensures adherence to company quality standards by inspecting rooms and public areas, including deep cleans Address guest complaints regarding housekeeping services or equipment. Monitors linen and guest supply inventory. Reports any maintenance repairs to maintenance staff; records repair information in maintenance log. Completes follow-up on vacant or occupied rooms Takes control of lost and found items as appropriate. Maintains lost and found. Working with hotel guests who have specific housekeeping needs Coordinating housekeeping needs with other hotel department managers Performing cleaning tasks when staff levels warrant additional support Inspects premises, guest rooms, linen rooms, and public areas to assure employees maintain the property's superior standards of housekeeping. Maintains an inventory of guest and housekeeping supplies and linen, ordering replacement of supplies and equipment as needed. Creates a service environment focused on the guest, with a passion for high standards in cleanliness. Responds promptly to customer needs. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and develops alternative solutions. Coordinates staff training, including MSDS, OSHA, and safety policies. Follow all safety and sanitation policies Education & Experience: Two-year degree in Hospitality/Hotel Management preferred. Four or more years of prior hotel experience preferred. Requirements : Must have extensive knowledge of hotel housekeeping and cleaning techniques Be able to multi-task and meet deadlines Maintain flexible working hours and be available as on-call when needed Be professional in all dealings with guests and co-workers Be able to identify problems and create and implement solutions quickly Be able to anticipate guest and employee needs and respond quickly Dress and image must be professional at all times Must have good verbal and written communication skills Physical: Must be capable of lifting up to 35 pounds. Must be capable of constant walking, lifting, bending and pushing and walking up and down stairs. Must be able to work with cleaning products on a regular basis. Job Posted by ApplicantPro
