Job description This physician group provides trauma and acute care surgery coverage for Baylor Scott & White McKinney. This facility is a 190+ bed acute-care facility and Level II Trauma Center located just north of Dallas, Texas. We are looking for a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our team.The ideal candidate will bring a positive and caring personality, excellent communication skills, be a team player and facilitate a collaborative approach to patient care. Reasons to join our team: Variety: this position will round on medical/surgical floors, the step-down unit and the ICU patients. They will also cover ER admissions and consults for general and trauma surgery. Schedule: supports a work-life balance. The full-time night position is a 1.0 FTE and will work a rotating schedule of 4/10-hour shifts. Competitive pay package including PTO, retirement plan, continuing medical education (CME) allowance and benefits (medical, vision and dental) are available Our Team is a collaborative and cohesive group that includes 4 Physicians and 2 APPs who thrive on providing the best care in the area Requirements for Nurse Practitioners: MUST BE ACUTE CARE BOARD CERTIFIED Must have at least 1 year inpatient nurse practitioner experience preferred but will consider new graduates with appropriate clinical and RN experience Master's degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State Board of Nursing in the state of practice or compact privileges under the multi-state Nurse Licensure Compact agreement Prescriptive authority as appropriate, per medical staff service privileging process. Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of practice. Eligible to provide services reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid.
