Physical Therapist (PT) Aegis Health Care is hiring Healthcare Heroes ! Ancora Home Health is currently seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist that has a passion for providing outstanding services to the elderly in Senior Living Communities and in-home health settings. This is a full-time position. The main office is located in the Wasilla area. Each Physical Therapist is an important part of the Aegis Health Care team. Job Responsibilities: Provide physical therapy treatment and patient care according to state and federal regulations and professional guidelines Perform complete evaluations of the patients' functional capacity , muscle strength, motor development, respiratory and circulatory efficiency, and endurance Routinely assess and revise therapy care plan to ensure best patient outcome Provide education and instruction to patients and family members regarding therapeutic exercises to facilitate self-care within the limits of patient's abilities Delegate tasks and supervise physical therapist assistants and technicians Maintain open and ongoing communication with peers to ensure patient needs are met Accurate and timely documentation of observations and evaluations Skills & Qualifications: Current Physical Therapy License in the state of practice Home Health experience preferred Ability to work independently Time management skills Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Valid driver's license, clean driving record and reliable automobile Proof of current automobile insurance Criminal background check clearance/fingerprint clearance Current CPR certification Negative TB test Job Factors: Physical Requirements: Requires considerable physical effort most of the day including kneeling, squatting, reaching, twisting, climbing, walking, exposure to temperature and humidity changes and maximal assist in lifting and/or transferring of a 100-pound patient. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use appropriate adaptive devices that will enable senses to function at a level required to meet essential duties of this position. Mental Requirements: Must be able to work independently, make judgments based on assessments and data available and act accordingly. Must be flexible, innovative and possess good interpersonal skills. Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress and demonstrate emotional stability. Working Environment : Works indoors in Agency office and patient homes and travels to/from patient homes.
