SUMMARY: SJB Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer for Highway/Roadway Projects. Ideal candidate should possess 5 years' of experience in road design with urban and rural highways with at least 4 years working at project management level on Louisiana DOTD projects. Candidate should have the ability to design arterial roadways for municipalities; manage staff, budget, and track projects, as well as be responsible for client deliverables. Signing, striping, traffic signal and street light design are possible responsibilities. Additionally, the candidate should have capabilities to promote and attract work as well as perform and manage work, including functional knowledge of DOTD systems, software, etc. Louisiana Professional Engineer Registration required. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Professional Civil Engineer with 5+ years' of experience working with clients, local / state agencies, elected officials and public stakeholders to understand and address local and regional transportation needs. Understanding of the transportation planning process is important. Experience managing transportation planning projects expected. Must demonstrate excellent technical writing and public speaking skills.
