Requisition ID: :Relocation Authorized: National : Family:Telework Type:Full:Time Office/Project: Work Location:Richland, WA:Salary Range:135,860: , annually (Determined by function, education, experience, and qualifications of the applicant) Project Overview Bechtel is designing, constructing, and commissioning the world's largest radioactive waste treatment plant for the U.S. Department of Energy at the Hanford Site in southeastern Washington state.The Hanford Tank Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant will use vitrification technology to process and solidify 56 million gallons (210 million liters) of radioactive and chemical waste stored at the Hanford site, which is a byproduct of plutonium production during World War II and the Cold War era. The project is the largest undertaking of its kind and one of DOE's most technically challenging cleanup projects.Its construction spans 65 acres (26 hectares) with five major nuclear facilities : Analytical Laboratory, Effluent Management Facility, High:Level Waste Vitrification, Low:Activity Waste Vitrification, and Pretreatment : as well as operations and maintenance buildings, utilities, other support facilities. The Waste Treatment Completion Company (WTCC) is a limited liability corporation created by Bechtel National Inc. (BNI) and Amentum.WTCC is a subcontractor to BNI, the prime contractor, to deliver the construction, turnover, startup, and commissioning activities for the WTP project. This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M:Th, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The selected applicant needs to be able and willing to work night shift (5:30pm to 4:00am) and weekends as needed. This position may require additional overtime hours as deemed necessary. Position Summary The High Level Waste Project Controls Manager will be responsible for cost engineering, cost estimating, cost analysis/control, and planning/scheduling activities for a project that requires a high degree of technical skill and experience. Directs cost estimating, analysis, and control activities and schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, impact identification, and recovery plan development activities. Directs the preparation and presentation of on:project estimates and cost forecasts. Supports project organizational and administrative activities. Provides generally non:routine cost engineering/planning and scheduling guidance. Identifies, analyzes, and provides innovative solutions to cost engineering and planning/scheduling problems. Responsibilties :Responsible for effective execution of Project Controls programs on an assigned project in accordance with NS and E Project Controls Department Procedures.:Reviews and approves Earned Revenue Determination Data, Proposal Financial Summaries, Project Financial Status Reports, and Charge for Project Working Capital calculations for assigned projects.:Plans staffing needs for assigned projects.:Reviews contract drafts to ensure they include adequate cost and scope definition and meet Project Controls requirements.:Coordinates development of all data in support of negotiations.:Prepares, coordinates, and directs Project Controls presentations to Bechtel and client management, as required.:Participates in the development and training of assigned personnel and in the implementation of on:the:job and classroom training programs.:Performs personnel performance reviews and career counseling. Interviews candidates for employment and makes recommendations for employment decisions.:Directs project control activities.
