The Role: As a HGV Service and Repair Technician, you will maintain and repair various commercial vehicles and trailers to meet DVSA and company standards. Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of vehicles and trailers to DVSA and Company standards. Diagnose and rectify various faults, ensuring cost-effective and safe repairs to a high standard. Attend and repair disabled vehicles at customer sites. Adhere to Health and Safety regulations and Company safe work processes. Accurately record job details, timings, and service sheets. Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the shift. Stay updated with relevant DVSA and product developments, actively participating in training and continuous improvement activities. Collaborate effectively within the team, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach. Requirements: Previous experience working as a HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or in a similar role. Technical qualification related to commercial vehicles City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent. Proficiency in verbal and numerical reasoning. Full driving license. Desirable: Strong understanding of commercial vehicles in a rental environment. Experience in using R2C.
