We typically work year-round and average about 50 hours per week.If you have a passion for equipment and experience operating heavy construction equipment, The Alan Group is looking for you.A Heavy Equipment Operator's role is to operate large construction equipment, including bulldozers, loaders, excavators, etc. to develop site projects with safety always in mind. The site development projects include tasks such as demolition, grading and excavation based on the construction plans and specifications. The Operator position works under the direction of the Field Foreman and needs to have the ability and knowledge of equipment, as well as construction plans to complete the sitework tasks.As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you are an important part of our operations!Here are the values that are important to us at The Alan Group. Responsibilities: Operate heavy construction equipment for the successful completion of sitework projects, in a safe and efficient manner Prepare the equipment for use each day, and clean and maintain at the end of each working day Some general labor or other related duties may be required, but don't worry, we do not want to make you a laborer. You are far too valuable as an Operator As an employee you will be responsible to represent our brand, while on jobsites or office, in a professional manner, which includes dress, demeanor and language. Qualifications: Valid and clean driver's license as the position requires driving and operating company machines High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education is great but it is not required. If you have specific machine training or certifications, please let us know. 3+ years of demonstrated proficiency in safely operating heavy equipment 3+ years of previous commercial construction experience with working knowledge of plans and specifications Knowledge of GPS grade control on equipment Be able to read a set of construction plans and grade stakes Jobsite safety is important, we require up-to-date OSHA training and First Aid/CPR.
