Job Opening for Heavy Duty Mechanic in Saanichton, BCSalary: $44.96 per hour plus overtime (including shift)Our valued client is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join their team and work on a fleet of diesel trucks. The position requires expertise in hydraulics, electrical systems, preventative maintenance, and minor engine repair. Many of the trucks are still under warranty, and safety is a top priority for the team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, energetic, and autonomous team player who can make a positive impact on both their team and the community. They offer top hourly wages and shift incentives, and as this is a union position, you get great union benefits and a pension plan. We also offer safety bonuses and tool allowance and supply boots, uniforms , etc. Shift timing: Monday to Friday, 1 pm or 9:30 am start timing. Hourly rate: $44.66 per hour (ticketed) with an additional shift premium of.30cents Full-time with benefits Excellent benefits RRSP match Generous boot, uniform and tool allowance Qualifications: Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic or equivalent 3rd and 4th year apprentices are welcome to apply 3-4 years of experience in truck and trailer repairs Must be able to pass all pre-employment tests Experience with drivability, hydraulics, engines.
