Harrison Steel Castings Co. has an opening for a Heating and Cooling Supervisor. Responsibilities include m aintaining and aiding in design of all Harrison Steel environmental heating and cooling equipment. Additionally, assisting in all maintenance of plant plumbing systems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to: Management and training of crew Conduct monthly safety meeting with crew Ensure all involved equipment is kept in proper working order Assist in design upgrades Assist in repairs Update related files and S.O.P.'s SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises employees Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or over five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS Basic supervisor training Basic computer skills HS safety programs CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Freon Installers License PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
