General Accountabilities: Reporting to the Manager Health and Safety field support, the incumbent Health & Safety Coordinator will gain experience and skill in the management of Health & Safety activities. The successful candidate will report into the Eastern Construction area. This position has no set work location – the successful candidate will take up the physical duties of this position in East Station Construction zone Accountabilities during the rotation include: Provide health & safety consulting services to Station Construction regarding the aspects of individual responsibilities, setting objectives, programming, backssment and corrective action. Serve as a champion/advocate for specific Health, Safety & Environment initiatives by directing and promoting them within the line of business. Assist in the development, implementation and management of Health & Safety processes for the line of business. Assist in administering the health, safety and environment programs for the line of business. Assist in the development and recommend and coordinate the implementation of Corporate and line of business policies relating to health, safety and the environment. Assist in development of work procedures and methods to minimize hazards to all staff and the environment.
