Term of Appt: Jan 14 - May 30.19 (30 hours per week) Start date: January 14, 2019 Reporting to: Dean of Academic & Vocational Programs Salary: $36.94 46.03/hr, depending on experience and qualifications as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement. Temporary employees receive an additional $0.50/hour in lieu of benefits, 6% vacation pay and 4.2% statutory holiday pay included with each pay. Description: During the upcoming Winter 2019 semester (January - May), NLC's Practical Nursing program requires a full time temporary instructor to teach a variety of first- and second-year courses. This is an excellent opportunity to gain significant post-secondary teaching experience. Qualifications: Required: Completion of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, or of an accredited Practical Nursing Diploma program; A current, practicing license as an RN or LPN (BCCNP); Three to five years (full time equivalent) of recent and relevant Canadian Nursing experience; Excellent communications skills, both written and oral; Ability to work as a team member; and Proficiency and experience in word processing, Power Point, learning management systems, and other forms of computer-based education and communication. Preferred: Experience and/or formal accreditation in teaching adults (i. e. completion of the Provincial Instructor's Diploma Program).
