Our client is a popular retail store that offers a wide range of products for customers of all ages. Their stores are designed to offer a convenient and comfortable shopping experience, with helpful staff members available to assist customers in finding the products they need. Due to our client’s ambitious expansion plans and our continuous success, we are currently seeking an enthusiastic Health and Safety Officer to join the team. Our client is a popular retail store that offers a wide range of products for customers of all ages. Their stores are designed to offer a convenient and comfortable shopping experience, with helpful staff members available to assist customers in finding the products they need. The Health and Safety position is field based role covering the whole of Scotland and the North of the M62 visiting all Retail stores investigating all Health and Safety checks. For this position you MUST have a Valid Driving Licence and your own Car. Main Duties: Health and safety training for new and existing stores; Store visits to monitor compliance, audits; Store visits to support where needed, particularly in advance of EHO or Fire inspections; New store set up to include training, risk backssments and support for the project manager; Health and safety training in existing stores; Liaise to adherence scheduled inspections/examinations by external parties sprinklers/fire alarms and internal inspections emergency lighting; Assist in developing policies, procedures, and risk backssments. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge and Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with managers and staff within stores, and Senior Managers. The ability and confidence to train large groups.
