Closing Date: January 12, 2024 Reporting to SVP & Chief Commercial Officer, the Head, Supply Management & Strategic Sourcing is responsible for aligning supply management governance and execution across the organization. This includes overseeing the company’s supply management function to strengthen ROI, lower costs, strengthen security of supply, increase transparency and certainty of future costs, and support improved operational performance through close partnership with leadership teams. The Supply Management group will develop and implement strategies, corporate standards and programs in the areas of materials and inventory management, strategic sourcing and spend analysis across Teck. The Head, Supply Management & Strategic Sourcing will need to think strategically and have an enterprise view of the function while possessing strong leadership and interpersonal skills to influence and lead change across all sites win the absence of direct line responsibility. The successful candidate will be a senior-level subject matter expert and performance leader for all aspects of the company’s procurement value chain. Responsibilities Safety & Environmental Leadership: Set the standard for safety and environmental compliance within our Supply Management teams, ensuring unwavering adherence to company standards. Strategic Development: Translate the company's strategic vision into a comprehensive and scalable supply chain strategy. Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing programs, both internally and externally, while optimizing growth and cost dynamics. Internal Collaboration: Cultivate strong cross-functional relationships, empowering the supply chain organization to effectively align with internal partners to meet our growth objectives. Organizational Design: Architect a supportive and scalable supply chain structure, assembling a capable team with support across all tiers and improved alignment with business goals.
