Currently, we are accepting applications for our Head Start location in Toledo , Oregon : Temporary Classroom Aide - $16.46 hr ($17.28 Bi-lingual , English/Spanish ) Head Start provides a free preschool education to children ages three to five years old in a nurturing learning environment that includes parents as important resources for their children's learning. We focus on the "whole child" and include as part of our program the child's educational, health, family, and social needs. Our Classroom Aide helps our teachers prepare the classroom, assist with lunch/snack and maintain a safe and sanitary environment for our children. 2024 school year - Temporary position 32 hrs per week, Tues - Fri, 7:45- 4:15 5% pay adder bi-lingual English/Spanish Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Knowledge of basic sanitation, housekeeping procedures and safe food handling practices required. Bilingual English/Spanish and previous Head Start experience highly preferred. In addition, must possess and maintain a valid Oregon driver's license, Food Handlers certification, First Aid and CPR certification, health verification form and enrollment in Oregon Child Care Division Criminal History Registry*. *Note about Oregon Child Care Division Criminal History Registry - If you are interested in a position with Head Start, now or in the future, you are strongly encouraged to visit https://www.oregon.gov/delc/providers/pages/cbr.aspx#UnderstandingTheCBRProcessDelays, and start the free registry process now to avoid delays in the hiring process. Registry includes fingerprinting and a background check that may takes weeks to complete, up to 8 weeks if you lived out of state. Head Start can not allow you in the classroom until this process is complete so it is in your interest to start early. CSC is a community Action Agency helping Linn, Benton, and Lincoln Counties.
