Department: Operations Location: Home based, UK Reports to: CEO Hours: 37.5 per week Salary: Depending on experience Role Overview We are seeking a driven and experienced Head of Operations to lead a team of 10 cross-functional administrators. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our admissions, EPA, functional skills, scheduling, and learner support functions. Key responsibilities Leadership & Team Management - Provide effective leadership and guidance to the administrative team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment Process Optimisation - Continuously review and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance Admissions Management - Oversee the admissions process for all courses, including apprenticeships, bootcamps, and corporate training programs EPA & Functional Skills - Ensure seamless and timely administration of EPA (End Point backssment) and functional skills workshops and backssments for apprentices Scheduling - Manage the scheduling of courses, exams, and backssments, ensuring optimal resource allocation and adherence to timetables Learner and client support - Oversee all aspects of learner support, including resolving queries, managing communication, and ensuring a positive learning experience. Data & Reporting - Generate reports and analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement Budget Management - Contribute to budget planning and monitor operational expenditures in line with agreed budgets Compliance - Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards Project Management - Manage and implement operational improvement projects to streamline processes Resource planning and capacity - develop resource plans to ensure the team is suitably resourced to meet business needs, cross training the team on key tasks to enable the team to flex to seasonal peaks Technology - Leverage technology effectively to automate tasks.
