Job Description The Senior Director of CMC Commercial Assets sits within the Pharmaceutical Operations & Technology team (PO&T) and is responsible for the end-to-end strategy of all commercial assets in all therapeutic areas and all modalities. Reporting to the VP of Asset Development and Portfolio Management, this Senior Director will have direct responsibility of the Commercial Asset Leader team, who oversee cross-functional asset teams and will execute strategic imperatives to advance the commercial portfolio. This individual will be the PO&T leader for commercial assets delivering the 5-year asset plan and will work closely with Global and Regional supply and Commercialization teams to bring the PO&T voice to the overall product strategy. What You'll Do Work closely with all functional leaders including Global Supply Chain head, Global Manufacturing head, Quality head, and Biologics and Pharma heads to ascertain that we are always ready to supply the market Monitor asset-related impacts on the P&L (e.g., COGS, E&O, OPEX) and collaborate with the PO&T Line Functions to develop tactics to improve them Develop business cases for key asset initiatives and secure management endorsement Lead, coach and develop asset leaders and cross-functional teams to drive collaboration, integration and efficiency across commercial program activities and functional departments Identify risks and remove barriers to deliver on the portfolio, ensuring timelines are met within budget Work with the appropriate teams to identify vendor selection and supply strategy In partnership with commercial teams, set strategy for country launch waves and prioritization Who You Are You have a background in late-stage development with a record of successfully launching and commercialization of medicines in all markets. You are deadline driven and understand the fluidity and nuances of all aspects of asset supply. You pride yourself on outstanding execution #LI-CC1 Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 15 years of experience in drug development and supply chain within the Biotech or Pharma industry experience Ph. D in the sciences field or MBA with demonstrable experience in late-stage development, commercial and global supply Experience with CMC, supply chain, and life cycle management Extensive experience filing IND/NDA/BLA including a solid understanding of global registration processes Technical expertise in a relevant biopharmaceutical development discipline Experience in healthcare/biotech/pharmaceutical industry with a demonstrated understanding of cross-functional interdependencies (i.e., R&D, commercial, technical development, regulatory Alliance management experience, preferably global; understanding of business contracts and management Excellent strategic, political, organizational, and relationship development skills Additional Information Why Biogen?
