The purpose of this role is to provide visible leadership to the team and implement the strategy and policies to ensure that all Children’s safeguarding needs across their services are met. You will have an opportunity to make a difference by working as a highly specialised member of the team to develop safeguarding strategies and ensure they are embedded across their children’s services, with clear communication across their teams. This role is both interesting and challenging as there’s a wide portfolio of settings within your remit, this ranges from developing and educating their clinical teams, providing visible leadership to their safeguarding team, advising on and ensuring the implementation of safeguarding systems across their wards and services. This role is highly important because it has the potential to improve the safeguarding of children in the local community. To deliver this, we are looking for an interim who has worked in senior safeguarding roles, with proven team leadership skills, who is credible and able to engage at all levels across their children’s services as well as provide assurance to the executive team.
