Providence Cristo Rey High School on the southside of Indianapolis is hiring a Head Cheer Coach. Job Description The position of Head Cheer Coach at Providence Cristo Rey High School is a part-time position with a stipend paid. The ideal candidate has coaching experience at the high school level, will be able to develop and maintain a cheerleading program with physical and skill leave progression, and commit to a part-time year-round schedule for the development and improvement of the student athletes involved in the cheer program. Job Requirements Applicant must have the ability to:  Plan and implement a practice plan with skill progression  Instruct cheer members on base cheer fundamentals  Instruct cheer members on sportsmanship-like cheers  Implement and instruct cheer members on physical fitness  Have knowledge of the high school cheer requirements and rules  Build a respectful program  Complete the Safe and Sacred training required by the Archdiocese of Indianapolis.  Complete the NFHS concussion and heat & illness courses  Complete and clear expanded criminal history background check. Job Qualifications Successful candidates will:  Possess high quality communication skills, both oral and written  Be professional in their approach  Demonstrate the ability to work with a variety of people  Be flexible Note: Experience in an urban high school setting is preferred.
