JOB SUMMARY The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the upkeep of the hotel and ensuring that the maintenance requests and orders get completed timely. The goal of the position is to maintain the hotel and common areas in the best possible condition. ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES Respond and attend to guest repair requests. Welcome, acknowledge, and address all guests according to company standards. Check with the front desk frequently for any maintenance requests. Prioritize and organize work assignments. Maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information. Ensure security of guest room access and hotel property. Perform maintenance activities in the guest room such as plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, plumbing, and electrical equipment, and cosmetic items. Program TV's/troubleshoot any TV issues. Keep all maintenance tools and equipment in good working order. Keep maintenance room clean and organized. Maintain pool chemicals, equipment, and cleanliness. Maintain the hotel facility and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Perform other duties as assigned by the maintenance supervisor. Maintain a professional appearance at all times. Maintain a professional attitude towards all team members and hotel guests. Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality. Comply with company policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Based on the essential duties listed above, this position is considered safety-sensitive and therefore all work must be performed following quality standards and established safety procedures. EDUCATION & RELATED EXPERIENCE A high School Diploma or equivalent GED is required. A minimum of one year of previous experience working in a maintenance role is required. A valid driver's license and the ability to be covered on the Company's insurance policy is required.
