Description:
Groundskeeper FT: The groundskeeper will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the outside properties, including grass, flower beds, ballfields, parking lots, tennis courts, and any other outdoor structure. During the summer months, this will consist of mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, and fertilizing the grass, cutting the bushes and flowers, maintaining the sprinklers and the sprinkler system. During the winter months, this will include snow removal from all hard surfaces (parking lots and sidewalks), application of ice melt were and when needed, and indoor cleaning assignments - any other duties assigned by the Facilities Director. The expected hours for this position will be eight hours a day, forty hours per week, beginning each day a 6:30 a.m. except during winter months when snow removal is required. In addition to the job requirements listed above, please include in your application any interest you have in helping with our AHS extracurricular athletics programs. Please let us know if you have experience as a player or a coach in specific sports. AHS prefers to fill its extracurricular athletics coaching openings with employees (teachers, aides, etc.) who also have skills and interest in coaching athletics.
