In this role, you will be at the forefront of analyzing and modeling the power consumption and performance of next-generation GPU architectures.Your work will be pivotal in optimizing our products for maximum efficiency and performance, impacting areas such as 3D graphics, high-performance computing (HPC), and artificial intelligence (AI). Responsibilities will be, but not limited to: Conduct detailed power consumption and timing analysis for GPU architectures. Develop models to predict power and performance characteristics under various workloads, configurations, and operating points. Collaborate with design and architecture teams to understand and optimize voltage/frequency curves and power management features. Analyze performance bottlenecks for accurate projection of performance of future products, and to identify opportunities for improvement. Work closely with multiple stakeholders and teams to ensure project objectives are met within deadlines. Stay updated with the latest trends in semiconductor technology scaling and performance at power trade-offs. Qualifications QualificationsYou must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM degree and 4+ years industry experience, orPhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM degree and 2+ years industry experience.Plus: Strong knowledge of the fundamentals of power consumption, timing analysis, and voltage/frequency scaling. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience with ASIC design flows. Experience with workload performance or power consumption analysis of 3D graphics, HPC, or AI workloads. GPU architecture or CPU architecture. Experience working on projects with multiple stakeholders and teams involved. Understanding of performance bottlenecks in highly parallel architectures, semiconductor technology scaling, and PerfPower tradeoffs. Knowledge of different (GPU) power management features is a plus. Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $144,501.00-$217,311.00*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience Working Model This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
