Description:
GATA, a US Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Office of Antiterrorism Assistance (DS/T/ATA) contract, assists foreign partners in developing the capability for anti-terrorism planning, coordination, and commitment to support U.S. counterterrorism objectives. ATA fosters cooperative efforts between U.S. law enforcement agencies and those of foreign partners to prevent future terrorist attacks and manage their consequences. ATA provides training, assistance, and equipment to increase foreign partners' capabilities to prevent, interdict, and investigate acts of terrorism. ATA also advances U.S. foreign policy goals by strengthening bilateral relationships and increasing respect for human rights by sharing modern, humane, and effective antiterrorism techniques. (Expert) Lead Instructor Mandatory Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Three (3) years of professional work experience may be substituted for one year (1) of education. Eight (8) years of operational, managerial, or instructional work experience in the field of protective security operations, such as Protective Security Details with additional experience in counterterrorism, driving, and firearms. Protective security experience, with a minimum of two (2) years' proven work experience as the Agent-In-Charge, Detail Leader, Shift Leader (or military/law enforcement equivalent) of a Protective Security Detail. Must have taught three (3) iterations of the DS/T/ATA Protection of National Leadership Course (PNL) as a Staff Instructor. (Specialist) Staff Instructor Mandatory Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Three (3) years of professional work experience may be substituted for one (1) year of education. Five (5) years of operational, managerial, or instructional work experience in the field of protective security operations, such as Protective Security Details, counterterrorism, driving, and firearms. Protective security experience, with a minimum of two (2) years' work experience as part of a Protective Security Detail. Experience must include advanced knowledge of protective security motorcade operations. Two years of experience in various facets of training associated with a Protective Security Detail to include surveillance detection, firearms training, defensive driving, defensive tactics, and site advance.
