Columbine's Geriatric Education Center specializes in teaching Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) courses. In just 2 ½ weeks, you can become a vital part of a healthcare team! By becoming a member of our healthcare team, you have the opportunity to get paid while becoming a CNA! You will earn $15.00/hour during class, lab and clinical time. As a student, you will gain an understanding of the responsibilities involved in working with residents/patients of all ages in both wellness and illness, mental health, residents'/patients' rights and family interactions. Class instructions will include: Basic nursing assistant procedures and skills Patient care General household activities Restorative services Safety and emergency care This course includes 92 hours of classroom and clinical training. We offer full-time and part-time classes to fit with your schedule. Our full-time class is completed in just 2 ½ weeks! Part-time, evening and weekends are also available. Our system has been a proud leader in senior health care for the past 50 years in Northern Colorado. We are an organization designed to not only dedicate ourselves to the care of our residents, but also dedicate ourselves to our valued employees. We have 5 beautiful skilled facilities located in Fort Collins, Loveland and Windsor. Employees of a Columbine skilled nursing facility, will be guaranteed a Nurse Aide role after successful completion of class, labs and clinicals. We also offer: Evening, overnight and weekend shift differential 3 opportunities for raises in your first year Opportunities for growth as a CNA Holidays - Paid time and a half Full range of benefits for employees who work 24+ hrs. per week Full-Time, Part-Time or PRN Days, evening and overnights shifts available!
