Join us to help make a difference. We are currently seeking a full-time Staff Professional to join our Geotechnical team in Bay Minette, Alabama. Learn more about us in this video: https://bit.ly/3Jp3Dez and visit our website: https://www.smeinc.com/ Job Snapshot: Coordination of field explorations, field logging of soil samples, performing engineering calculations/design, preparation of proposals and reports, and project and client support You will work under the supervision of a Licensed Engineer. Qualified candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a strong work ethic, and possess the ability to work as a team player Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering, or ability to obtain within 6 months 0-2 years of professional experience Basic working knowledge of construction plans and specifications Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation, with the ability to learn commercial software applications Overnight, out-of-town travel and the ability to work outside normal business hours Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Routinely lifting: 40 to 50 lbs. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering Engineering Intern certification Why work at S&ME?
