The GICH campus is situated on approximately 200 acres in Suburban Bibb County. In partnership with local running and biking clubs, we maintain over seven miles of cultivated trails to provide our residents with ample outdoor opportunities. We also partner with local schools to provide a site for high school and college cross country meets. GICH offers a low ropes course, climbing tower, and zip line under the supervision of a certified instructor. GICH recently revitalized the 92 existing pecan trees on campus in order to cultivate and harvest annual crops. Youth who are referred to GICH reside in one of five cottages located on the campus. Each cottage has been renovated within the last five years.We are hiring a maintenance worker to join our maintenance team. You will inspect different equipment and perform any basic repairs or preventative maintenance when required. To do well in this role you should have previous experience in maintenance, be highly skilled with various hand and power tools, and be able to read blueprints and repair manuals. Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment. Performing preventative maintenance. Handling basic repairs and maintenance. Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary. Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them. Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary. Full Time. Performs repairs and preventative maintenance to buildings and related fixtures including basic plumbing, painting, installs electric stoves and washers and dryers, etc. Responses to emergency needs within a reasonable time frame during off hours.
