General Maintenance (Roads/Ground) Tech

Description:
The primary function of the General Maintenance (roads/ground) Tech is to perform a variety of skilled work within and around a fast moving facility campus. Work involves multiple areas, including property, roads, and equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance and repairs. Light HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, drywall, tiling, and other related skills are preferred. Mechanical aptitude is a must. A valid Florida state driver's license and the ability to operate fork, man, and boom lifts are required. Minimum Requirements At least 18 years of age or older. Hold a High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalency. Able to pass: Drug Screen, and Background Check. Valid Florida Driver's License and clean record, CDL a plus. Must be able to operate forklifts, bobcats, scissor lifts, steer skids, and boom lifts. Job duties may require laying down sewage system components, help inspect industrial equipment and systems, preparing and installing drainage systems, pouring concrete, installing pumps to redirect water flows, lifting 50 pounds, using wheelbarrow or dolly to move up to 300 pounds. Digging, spreading materials, light maintenance on facility buildings, painting, parking lot maintenance, and any other tasks ask to be performed by supervisor. Physical Requirements Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools; physical ability to lift and carry objects weighing approximately 50 pounds; move and load or unload material for vehicles; push and maneuver heavy objects using carts, dollies, or dumpsters weighing up to 250 pounds. Ability to work at heights. Incumbents will be exposed to noise, dust, cleaning solvents, battery acids, and exhaust fumes. Duties Must demonstrate excellent work habits, good judgment and exemplary customer service skills. Must be able to apply, understand and carry out oral and written directions in English. The essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following: Maintains a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and wearing protective equipment as required. Responds to work requests by performing and completing general facilities, roads, and ground repairs in a timely manner. Inspect buildings, equipment, and grounds to determine conditions needing maintenance and repair work; Repair and maintain buildings and related grounds; Prepare, seal, and paint building and exterior surfaces and equipment; Reassemble machines and make necessary adjustments for operation; Troubleshoots electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical failures and repair; Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment as required; Utilize portable power tools and standard hand tools; Respond to emergency repair requests. CSS is predominantly a Federal Contractor and is subject to following the terms of Executive Orders.
