The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in general liability law, with a strong ability to conduct legal research, draft various legal documents, and represent clients in court proceedings.Duties:Conduct file reviews and perform legal analysis of claims and causes of actionConduct extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefsMaintain an annual billable amount of 1950 hoursRegularly represent clients in court, at arbitrations, and in depositionsDraft and respond to discovery requestsRetain and collaborate with expert witnessesPrepare for trials and attend as necessaryBe prepared for some travel as requiredRequirements:2+ years of experience in general liability law; experience in other practice areas is a plusJ.D. degree from an ABA-approved law schoolAdmitted to practice in the states of NY and NJ; admission in other states is a plusSuperior analytical and problem-solving skillsSolid research abilities and excellent written and oral communication skillsStrong work ethic, ability to self-manage, and work effectively in a team environmentPrompt responsiveness to email and phone inquiriesExcellent client skills and telephone mannerEducation and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law schoolAdmission to practice in the states of NY and NJ; admission in other states is a plusSkills:Superior analytical and problem-solving skillsSolid research abilitiesExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong work ethic and ability to self-manageAbility to work effectively in a team environmentPrompt responsiveness to email and phone inquiriesExcellent client skills and telephone mannerBenefits Offered:Innovative financial incentive bonus program that rewards entrepreneurial initiativeProactive support and training for marketing objectivesExcellent Benefits, including a 401k matchExceptional growth and advancement opportunities
