Overview: Prepares and processes accounts payable, for the payment of vendors as well as posting of cash in accounts receivable. Maintains historical records for all transactions. Other general accounting duties. Duties and Responsibilities: Accounts Payable: Responsible for accurate completion of accounts payable per established procedures. Checks: Prepares documents & checks for mailing and maintains corresponding records; Distributes individual checks to divisions or personnel as requested Accounts Payable Assistance: Answers and assists with accounts payable questions as needed. Accounts Payable File: Maintains and updates accounts payable files. Check Transfer: Prepares, transfers & confirms weekly check to bank. Accounts Receivables: Responsible for preparing deposits for bank and entering checks into the Accounts Receivable system; preparation of daily cash sheet; printing of EFT, ACH, and direct deposits to post to Accounts Receivable; receive e-mail from Fulton Lockbox Processing Center to download the lockbox and print check stubs and posts checks and Lockbox payments to Accounts Receivable System. Record Storage: Responsible for annual boxing of files, shipping to storage and prepping files for new fiscal year. Other Duties: Provides support and assists with other tasks across the organization. Education and Experience: High school diploma/GED One year Accounts Payable/Receivable preferred Please note this job will be on-site (not remote).
