Turner Industries Group, LLC is looking for a General Accountant - Treasury to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA. The overall purpose of the General Accountant - Treasury position maintains care, custody, and control by reconciliation of all previous day cash balance transactions, and maintains and secures account upload and security for payroll and accounts payable transactions. Qualifications: Applicant must possess an associates degree or higher in the field of business, preferably in accounting. One (1) year of experience in specified skills and requisite training Strong knowledge and experince with GAAP Candidate must have experience working in Microsoft Office Suite with heavy emphasis in the usage of Microsoft Excel. Candidate must be organized detailed oriented and self sufficient in record keeping, and conduct his/her self in a professional manner. Daily Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Reconciliation of all cash activity - Previous day book activity to actual ending day cash balance. Electronic scanning and entry of paper deposit items to credit operational account balances. Processing through Enterprise 1, ACH generation for Insurance, Accounts Payable, and Payroll related activities as necessary throughout the week. Upload of ach files to DDA bank for approval and release. Cash and G/L Balances are reconciled daily and monthly book to bank. Cash and Cash related accounts, Intercompany transactions, Insurance allocation and payment; are reconciled and eliminations made as necessary at quarter and year end. Reconciliation and upload of payroll registers in OCIP provided client sites. Other duties as assigned. Physical Involvement: This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some movement is required. This would require the ability to lift files and office supplies, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Employee may be required to do the following: reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and machines; lifting from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; bending; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; Mental Involvement: Employee may be required to do the following: following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work and selecting proper tools; comparing and understanding differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects; picturing and evaluating solid objects from drawing or diagrams using standards that can be measured or checked; following oral and/or written directions, plans and templates; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards.
