Job Overview: Marathon Oil is an independent E and P company with U.S. operations in the Eagle Ford in Texas, the Bakken in North Dakota, the Northern Delaware in New Mexico, and STACK and SCOOP in Oklahoma. This position will support the Gas Marketing Department by developing and executing a natural gas sales strategy to maximize value and ensure flow assurance. The position will interact internally with marketing personnel, production operations, and accounting and externally with gas processors, pipelines and customers. This position will report to the Gas Trading Supervisor. Job Responsibilities: :Develop Marathon's sales strategy and execute short and long terms trades in Oklahoma and work as back:up in South Texas.:Develop and maintain relationships with customers and business partners to execute transactions and generate value.:Optimize Marathon's existing gas transportation to maximize value. :Provide insight into gas regional fundamentals and impact on pricing.:Ensure trading documentation and procedures comply with company regulations as well as professional and legal standards. :Support NGL sales through oversight of monthly nominations and review of monthly invoices.:Ad hoc analysis and commercial support as needed.:Available and on call evenings and weekends for the prompt handling of any issues that may arise. Job Requirements: stylemargin:bottom:13.0px:: Bachelor's degree in related field.stylemargin:bottom:13.0px:: In:depth knowledge of market fundamentals, transportation components, infrastructure, market participants, associated relevant regulations, and standard industry contracting practices.: Familiarity with the following markets preferred: Midship Pipeline/Bennington, and Enable West Pool.: 3:5 years experience in natural gas marketing/trading.: Experience with NAESBs and other gas contracts.stylemargin:bottom:13.0px:: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.: Experience with an ETRM system for gas trading activities (Allegro preferred).: Team players able to work with internal and external stakeholders.: Ability to work weekends or after hours if required.
